| Almost dry, pulled into Shell station, and my key wouldn't open the gas cap! Only a mile from home, drove over, tried the other two keys to no avail. Drilled the lock out of the cap, still wouldn't come off, so I wrestled it off (!!!) with a 12" channel lock pliers and gently whacked the distended lip back into shape with a hammer and screwdriver. I'd like to find a simple, NON-LOCKING replacement gas cap. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help! |

| IIRC a Honda Helix gas cap will fit. It is a non-locking cap.

| The Reflex cap also fits. It is also non-locking. |

| Thanks a lot, guys! I owned 2 Helixes and never made the connection! Googled it and monsterscooterparts.com had a generic for $7.99! (bikebandit had an OEM cap for the Helix for $37.99!!). Of course, the minimum $6.66 shipping wasn't too appealing, but still was less than half of the OEM. Thanks again for your swift replies! My 2200 mi trip begins in less than 2 weeks. Happy Trails! |
