| OOOops, the rebuilding of shocks is not so easy as it seems. It's not a problem, except to get new seals. We have not been able to figure out from here what make the shocks are, microfiche on the net shows no details. Any suggestions? Pico |

| A guess to Oem for honda forks is Showa, all my the past bikes from Honda were Showa's. As to aftermarket seals, take one out and read the numbers and Manufacturer. It has almost always been cheaper from honda after the search locally. In my experience. At least a lot quicker to get and find. When you get the fork apart , Look at the bushing, If it has any of the coating worn off replace it. it will cause leaks and wobble. MaxB |

| Your comments led me to abort the rebuilding idea. Problem is to get seals and bushing. The shock repairman said = perhaps it's enough to replace the oil given that the shocks are only spongy. Any opinion on that?
Now I am looking at YSS shocks, they are here in Bangkok, no hassle with customs or airport security. however their 2 models are for the GL500 and GL650 83/84.
For 500=Length 300mm, top10x40 for 650= F48x10 Sorry, this sounds inconsistent but that is what I got from the local dealer.
Can someone tell if the 500/650 shocks are , perhaps with slight modifications usable for SW600? What needs to be modified? Pico

Contact Wilbers shock ( http://www.motorcycle-suspension.com/shock_absorber/wilbers/racing_suspension/shock_absorber_honda/index.html ). Wilbers literally builds the shock specific to the motorcycle. So they would have the exact specification of each of the three shocks.
If you can get the specification of the three shocks then you would be able to answer the question.
