All,

Need your help.

I removed the 4 screws holding the upper panel for the windscreen. The panel will not come off. At the bottom I believe there are clips or something holding it in place.

Any help is appreciated on how to remove this.

I do not want to brake it, so, could use your help.

Thanks

After removing the 4 screws the garnish carefully slides off toward the head light.

Try using a plastic credit card to pry the garnish edge up and over as you slide the garnish down.

DennisB,

Have another question.

There are 6 rubber washers. Do I need to remove 4 of them and place them over the metal bracket provided by Givi?

The metal brackets also have a white tape on them. Does this get removed or is it used to protect the bodywork>

Those THREADED black rubber Gromets need to stay installed...BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO PUSH ON THEM WHEN INSTALLING YOUR NEW SHIELD!!!!

Those rubber Gromets push through so easy and they cost so much to replace.

There has been allot of talk about the GIVI windshield install. Please do a search and you will find a bunch of good information.

Ok, I will do a search. But from what I read so far, I did not see anything.

Also, the bracket does not sit flush since it sits on top of the rubber gromets.

For the newly drilled holes, did you place anything between the new bracket and the body work? Appears the gap is excessive.

Thanks again
