| Good morning to my silverwing family ITS UNCLE BLINGGY ONCE AGAIN :-) Hey check it since I sold my 07 to rafiel sadly with my bike went my shop manual because i never thought ide be on 2 wheels again . I am ready to install a set of sylvania H-7's . when I did the bulbs in my 07 I had the front body panel off and it was a piece of cake. I did see with the windscreen off theres easy access. But I still cant see the back of the headlight assembly. If my memmore suits me isint there a spring type of clip that holds the bulbs in?? Ill have to get another shop manual but for now im sure ill get enough replys to bandaid me through this headlight bulb replacement. The blingmeister |

| Does not work for me, either, on two different computers. It takes me to the .org home page, not the referenced post. |

| Thanks for the pic trouble1100. the service manual says to remove the windshield garnish to get to the bulbs, but i see you've removed what looks like the whole dash board. is that right? |

| I opened the link Bill posted, clicked the attachment to enlarge, grabbed the URL from the properties and did the bracket "img" thing to see is if it could be viewed by all. If not try to bypass firefox and see if it can be viewed thru another search engine.
The large view gives you the orientation of the spring clips in the so you can feel your way in to the replacement. The manual is correct, behind the windshield garnish for the low beam and up from the bottom for the high beam. |

| This link will only take me to the home page of the .org site, just like all of the other links to posts on the .org site. It seems that the site is rigged... |

what about the high beam bulb!!?
(just kidding! I'm sure there's a tutorial somewhere, and as i understand it you reach up from under the bike into the bulb compartment, and wish yourself good luck). |

I don't recall whether you can actually SEE IT but just pretend it's your girl friend in the dark! |

| Well since i started this thread please allow me to say thankyou. The only thing I can see is that one photo. All them other links it says access denied. So basically I gotta remove the windshield im gathering? As I said last time I had the entire front body cover off because I had to replace it. So looks like just remove the front garnish and the screen and thats it?? As far as access to the bulbs themselfs. Then the removal of the boot then the spring clips?? |

| Yup, that's about it Eddie. It't been awhile but I dont recall removing the screen to get to the low beam. However if you have fairly large hands it can be a tight squeeze getting in there & then moving the hand around. When I first started to look for this link on the other forum I could open all the photo links but I guess John locked the thread later & I couldn't open them anymore.

| I can't remember if the shield being off will make a difference or not. BTW I added a little to the other post about the photo links in case you didn't see the edited part. |
