PostSubject: !Hello from Israel   Mon Aug 02, 2010 9:56 am

Hello everybody!

My name is shlomy, im 25 yeras old student and im a pretty new owner of the 600 version of the Silverwing.
I mentioned that i bought the 600 version because i had for 2.5 years the 400 version of the silverwing.
According to that the silver is not new to me at all exept the noticeable power addition.
For 2 years i serviced my wing all by my self, using the service manual book and a pair of good hands.
I had made a lot of mods by myself (DIY) such as an auto backrest on the top case for the passager, chrome all rims and front shocks, paited the bike in black (was silver before) made the seat white like snow, rode with any rolls whight from 6.25 gr to 60gr made all by my self but never touched the rear spring, installed NGK Iridium plugs, installed a K&N Air filter, and putted new Philips Diamondvision 5000K bulbs that wasnt that grate.
The gratest mod was the impressive costum LED lightning system that i built.

Right now i own both of my wing (400+600).

Later i will add some pics of my 400wing and a pics of the DIFFERENT TWINS!

Shlomy.

Welcome to the friendliest Silverwing forum.

As I recall someone pulled out in front of you on the 400 ... were you able to repair it completely??

Are the LED's the flexible light strips with adhesive and if so do they stay on good? They look great on the bike.

I remembered your Silverwing and the burnout

Are you going to do the same modifications to the 600??

PostSubject: Re: !Hello from Israel   Wed Aug 04, 2010 2:50 pm

Hi all again!
First i must say that the silver is an adult scooter here too.
Most of the youngsters here buy Tmax's and sporty 600 bikes if the have the money.
The once who doesnt, buy a taiwan 125cc or 250cc.

The LED's are a flexible strip type wih silicon so it survives the dirt and water.

About my 400 wing, i decited not to fix it because of the igh expense (2000$ ) i will be for parts to my 600, can you ask more than that?

I will not reapet on the same mods that i did on my 400, it was in a differnt era..
But the are some couple mods that im really intend to do:

-Heated grips
-Wind deflectors for the grips
-Air horn (not sure how to install and where do i find one that i can import
to here).
-I will be looking for a new ideas for a LED schem.
-Testing the scoot with a weaker clutch spring, should make the rpm fall at
60mph (lower then 4700 rpm)
-Testing the scoot with 14gr and 25gr rolls, see what will happen... (maybe a weelee??)

-One of the most wanted mod is something that all you amrican guys have and its the constant lightning of the front turn signals along with the head beam, at all times.
Here transportation standards are different and does not require constant lightning of the turn signals.
Today i know that reason for the difference is a relay that control the whole electric signals.
If anyone can shed some light on the subject it will be grate!

I must say that im really surprised with it fuel consumption 45-46 mpg, thought it will be more like 40-30 mpg.
