Hi, I’m Gary. Just bought a 2009 Silverwing with 8,000 miles on it. Just ordered tires cause the tires were 11 years old and going to have drive belt replaced. Have had it for 3 weeks and so far so good. Sold a BMW C650GT scooter so I could get the Silverwing. BMW ridiculous maintenance cost, spent $175 for an oil change. Silverwing I can do myself.

Welcome! As you obviously know Swings are great values, with a quality build and pretty easy to service/work on. My wife hated her Can-Am because of the crazy expensive service cost and excess heat and now has a Swing. You have chosen well!

Hello Gary. Welcome to the forum.

Just curious, but what is so difficult with a BMW C650 oil change to make it cost so much? We've heard horror stories of BMW scooter belt changes costing $2000 as well. What's up with BMW's service costs?

Hi Gary and welcome to the BEST SWing site on the net. There's lots of info here to do your own work on your SWing. I've learned a whole lot just by being a member here.
