| Hi,
I'm a member of the Bay Area Maxi Riders (BAMR) group in the S.F. bay area. We have 68 members now but usually only about 8-15 show up for monthly rides. In the spring, summer, and fall it is usually the higher number. We have 2 members in our group, just4cruzn and TeeMon, that are members of this site too.
The site address is:
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/BayAreaMaxiRiders/
You don't need to become a member to read the messages, either the new or older messages. If you ever plan to come out to the bay area you should get in touch with our group to see where some good rides are. Even if you don't plan to ride if you come out here we can still give you some good ideas. It is really easy to join if you want to and then you can see all the photo's too. _________________ Ride safe, JeffR 2007 Silver Wing (30,000 miles) 2005 Majesty 400 (sold 12,500 miles) 2004 Reflex (sold 3,500 miles) Givi Windshield, top case, vista cruise, power commander, dr pulley sliders, air hawk seat pad, (J. | Did a job out at Reedly, Calif last spring and flew in and out of S.F. While there we rented two 50cc scooters from ScootCar down at the Wharf and followed there longest suggested route. It was blustery and chilly but we were having to much fun to care. You really have a lot of nice places to ride on the left coast. Patty and I have ridden to 44 of the lower 48 states with the last 4 being CA, WA, NV & OR. We will ride to those after I retire in 3 years, Good Lord Willing.... |

| Dick,
It is a nice place to ride. You can go in just one hour in any direction and get some great rides in. I used to live in Central Illinois, from the time I got my license and until I came out here, and sometimes you would have to ride an hour just to get to a good ride site. It was very flat there. But here riding for an hour is the ride. _________________ Ride safe, JeffR 2007 Silver Wing (30,000 miles) 2005 Majesty 400 (sold 12,500 miles) 2004 Reflex (sold 3,500 miles) Givi Windshield, top case, vista cruise, power commander, dr pulley sliders, air hawk seat pad, (J. | I have vacations in Sept for two weeks and would love to ride up to S.F. and ride with a groop. Is there any thing going at that time? I know it is a long time away but like to plan ahead. |

| John, You should join the group and start posting. I'm sure we can work something out. I haven't been too active the last few months since I had an investment in a Pizza resturant but I'm done with that now. I expect to be just as active now as i was before that venture. But join up and post something there to see the response. Usually we would have a monthly ride. But even if there isn't a monthly ride, when you come up, I'm sure you can find someone to ride with. We were doing a lot of non-organised rides too. _________________ Ride safe, JeffR 2007 Silver Wing (30,000 miles) 2005 Majesty 400 (sold 12,500 miles) 2004 Reflex (sold 3,500 miles) Givi Windshield, top case, vista cruise, power commander, dr pulley sliders, air hawk seat pad, (J. | Bill, My wife and I are silent partners now. It took too much time away from our daughter so we don't work there anymore. We didn't think it would have been so much work since we are very junior investors. _________________ Ride safe, JeffR 2007 Silver Wing (30,000 miles) 2005 Majesty 400 (sold 12,500 miles) 2004 Reflex (sold 3,500 miles) Givi Windshield, top case, vista cruise, power commander, dr pulley sliders, air hawk seat pad, (J. | Blueberries,
Where are you from in Central Illinois? I lived in Champaign for about 25 years or so, but am from the Northern Part originally. Are you here in California or a member of the BAMR? I started that site some years ago but haven't had the time lately to organize rides. I hope to start again this year some time. _________________ Ride safe, JeffR 2007 Silver Wing (30,000 miles) 2005 Majesty 400 (sold 12,500 miles) 2004 Reflex (sold 3,500 miles) Givi Windshield, top case, vista cruise, power commander, dr pulley sliders, air hawk seat pad, (J. | On the second week of Oct I am planning a ride from Santa Barbara up to Organ or maybe just around San Francisco. 7 days. Any advice or any one riding in the area? I have a 2008 Silvering open for advice. |
