| Yesterday, 7-23-18, I had my 99 Silverado pickup towed in because the brakes went out as I was coming down my street to home.
Saint's Auto here in Princeton, MN replaced bad leaking brake lines about 2 months ago so I had them come and tow it. I thought it was the master cylinder that went out because I couldn't see any leaking. They called today and said the truck was done and that they tightened up a brake line that had come loose.
I went there and gave him my credit card. He gave it back and said, "No Charge". I asked how much the master cylinder was and he told me that wasn't the problem and that it was the loose brake line that caused it. So, he didn't charge me for anything including the tow seeing as it was their work that caused it.
It's good to have honest places to take a vehicle. They could have drummed up some sort of charge and how would I have known. So, there are still honest people and places around. |

That is true. I am glad that it happened so close to home. I was only 2 blocks away and our street doesn't have much traffic. I guess it just proves that they are human and can make mistakes and are willing to stand by their work. |

Naw. They'd just blame it on faulty brakes... |

| That is nice that they stood by their work. I have 2 mechanic shops that I trust without worry for the cars, and 1 motorcycle shop that I also trust. I'll even get with the shop foreman and order the techs pizzas sometimes. If they look out for me I try and return the favor! |

| Yes it is nice to have a couple of shops one can rely on. I have a very good BMW shop here for my C650GT and an honest and reliable independent shop for my cars. |

| I'm a big fan of happy endings - glad that you and your Silverado were not hurt and the garage took responsibility for their error. |
