You may want to start a site like I did using the Yahoo groups:

If you start a group, and they are free, then you can promote them on different sites to get the word out. Just make sure you don't try to limit it to the Silver Wing. We have about 99 members now but some don't live around here, they just joined in case they need info if they come this way.

But you should try this and go to the different sites and just ask, is a non-intrusive way, that you would like riders in certains states to join. If you need any help just pm me. I would also suggest others do this too if you want to get a riding group going.
