No one from this site plans to attend Americade? Do we not have any members in up state NY?

I've been to Americade 3 times as for me it's only a two tank ride away. It is truly a great affair, with many teriffic rides (both guided and DIY), and an awesome collection of vendors. Doing the vendor area takes the better part of a day.

Going to Americade is usually a last minute, weather dependant decision for me. The motels are booked months in advance, so I grab a tent site at an overpriced but superb camping 'resort' for a couple of nights early in the week. Then get outta Dodge before the Orange County Chopper cowboys show up on the weekend.

We had about 8 or 10 Silverwings (from the Yahoo Silverwing forum) meet there at the 2004 Americade Rally to do out own breakfast meet and ride.

Don't hesitate to go to this rally. It's a Touring Rally, so leave the trailer in Daytona or Sturgis. This one's for riders.

Edit: I won't be doing Americade this year as I'm saving all my 'Honey Do' credits so that I can go to the Iron Range Super Scooter Rally later in the month.
