Welcome aboard Tim. I started out three years ago on the Kymco People 150, and like you, I knew within a couple of months that I'd need something bigger.
I moved on to the People 250, and blew the engine trying to ride it to St. Louis from NM. Couple more months of research and waffling back and forth between the Swing and the two 400cc scoots available, and I decided on the Swing. Bought mine in Oklahoma City and rode it back to NM (about 560 miles) for its maiden voyage (for me; it had about 5800 miles on it).
No regrets at all. I'm looking forward to my next Southwest tour coming up some time this spring/summer/fall, or maybe more than one.
I don't think you'll have any regrets either. Enjoy your new scoot, and as always,
Ride Safe.
Oh, and by the way, in case no one has told you yet, and I hate to be the one to break the bad news to you, but it's been established beyond any doubt now that it's the '04 Dark Rasberry Red Swing that actually is the fastest and the most exceptional of all the Swing years and models. Sorry.
