I'm really impressed with it, no doubt, but I'd have to say it's the Rodney Dangerfield of two-wheelers. It don't get no respect...at least not until other vehicles can't run away from it....hahaha.

It's got to be the farthest thing from a Harley, and I'm lovin it.

Sad to tell you all,

A silverwing rider was killed, here in Tulsa, on Saturday at 2:00 PM by a hit and run driver. Olin T Lewis was 91 years old and a USN WW2 vet.

I'll be attending his services and interment with PGR that will provide escort and a flag line tomorrow. They have not found the person that hit him, yet.

I will give a report of the Metzlers, compared to the Diablo's, after I have them installed. I read on the silverwing.org site that the Metzlers are pretty good. This will be my 4th set now and ...

10-15 miles after the service the ABS light started blinking and the ABS system stopped working. The stealership says they need to change the ABS ECU , but I'm sure it's something much more simpler than this. Has anyone experienced the same issue? What would be your suggestions to diagnose the cause of the problem?

An Original Story written by Dennis Berney 2010

The Gold of the Marinette

The warm Caribbean sun filtering down through the beach umbrella felt like heaven to Ben. He opened his eyes just a little and looked at Vespa not more than a few yards away, standing in the beautiful blue water of the Gulf of Mexico.

"She looked like a post card, the kind the hotel sells to tourist" he was thinking.

I know how the variator works, but it looks like it has TWO variators.

I was wondering what happens to the "slack" when the variator changes pitch, but now I can see that both the front and the rear gadgets change proportionally.

Here's my brain's attempt to understand:

1. The front gadget is the clutch. The fat coil spring tends to keep the cones squeezed together, and that's what takes up the slack of the belt.

At 4000 miles I had a lot of belt slap, and a shuddering vibration when I'd take off.

I just installed 26 gram Malossi rollers and "yellow" clutch springs, but I don't think that's what solved the belt slap. I think the fact that I just took stuff apart and cleaned it up explains it.

The belt looked brand new, so there certainly wasn't any reason to replace it.

Hi,

Well we finally had a group ride in our Bay Area Maxi Riders (BAMR) group ride. It was only about 100 miles, at the most, but was a very enjoyable ride. I will post some pics here. The ride was in the Livermore & Tracy, California area. Nice slower winding roads and the weather was great. We were going to ride up to Mount Hamiliton on Saturday, the day before this ride, but it was raining that day so we got 10 riders that could make the Sunday ride. We would have had about 15-20 riders ...

Once when he had just finished a real serious self treatment, he was feeling so bad that he went home. Crying he asked his wife to pray for him. She was a very serious spiritual lady. They both knelt by the bed and she began to pray. "Oh, God ...

A fart is a pleasant thing,

It gives the belly ease,

It warms the bed in winter,

And suffocates the fleas.

A fart can be quiet,

A fart can be loud,

Some leave a powerful,

Poisonous cloud

A fart can be short,

Or a fart can be long,

Some farts have been known

To sound like a song.....

A fart can create

A most curious medley,

A fart can be harmless,

Or silent, and deadly.

A fart might not smell,

While others are vile,

A fart may pass quickly,

Hi everybody.

Been lurking for a few months - learning a lot and enjoying my new (to me) ride. I got a 2003 Swing last September with 3800 miles, GIVI 46 monokey box, GIVI shield and Kuryaken grips. I had not made my mind up about which kind of bike to buy (was still thinking about B400), but this became available for $3600 and it made the decision easy for me.

Before I bought the Swing, I had an opportunity to ride the following bikes:

2 different CCS bought from a local dealer (still ...

I have been watching the treadlife on my new tires (hoops). The rear has only about 2000 miles and is almost to the wear markers, and starting to look flat across the tread. About 600 miles have been 2 up with my wife. This puts us over the rating on the sticker under the seat, but at least 100lbs under the rating stamped on the tires. The darkside tire raises the loading rating by another 100lbs or so. So I am thinking about changing.

Handling doesn't change much 2 up other than it takes ...

It seems like most of the Silverwings have vastly diffrerent colors from year to year, but if my information is correct the 2002-2004 were all red or some shade of red...Is that correct?

2002 is called "candy wineberry red"

2003 is called "candy glory red"

and

2004 is "candy raspberry red"

First off, is that correct?

And secondly, are they actually the same exact color?

I've found (ebay) a new 02 leftover front body piece that I could use and the picture ...

A Doctor was addressing a large audience in Tampa . 'The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is awful. Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. High fat diets can be disastrous, and none of us realizes the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water. However, there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and we all have eaten, or will eat it. Can anyone here tell me what ...

So I bought this:

Those with Vespas, or our Italian friends know them well. Gay jokes apart (been called a sissy at work because of it already!), they do ...
