So for the sake of my wife, I went and ahead and removed it. As my back was somewhat uncomfortable during long rides, the wheels in my mind ...

09 SW vibration

Hi, I'm new to the Silver Wing experience, my problem is that i feel a vibration through the fairig at around 2500rpm which gradually gets worse upto around 4500rpm, at which point it transfers into the seat. above and below this range is fine.

I only have 800Km`s on it and it has been there since day one.

Is this normal, or not.......

The dealer had it for a day, and said they had tightened afew fasteners and something on the drivetrain. But i didn`t feel any difference.

Since it was on-and-off rainy today I spent the day painting a couple of old helmets I don't use very often.

After fashioning a makeshift paint booth and a lazy-susan I set out to paint a couple. I used regular masking tape to cover the openings and do my stripes. The 97 cent stuff worked perfectly, so I'm glad I didn't get the $7 stuff instead.

I tried the Krylon "fusion" paint made for plastic and liked it a lot. It dried very quickly making multiple coats a breeze. On one helmet ...

They were 2 blocks from their house and some kids had laid a limb in the road. It was a shady area and she didn't see it until almost on top of it. She braked hard then swerved to avoid it. They swerved to avoid the limb and hit some sand/gravel on the edge of the road.

They are ok , some bruises and scratches. She said she was going about 5 mph when the rear end slid out.

Hi,

Like the spark plug pictorial I did about a year ago, I also did one for the changing of the belt and pins on my J. Costa variator.

If you read this over you should have no problem doing this work yourself. The pictures provide a step-by-step "Pictorial" on how go change out the belt and the pins of the J. Costa. If you are changing out the rollers of your stock variator this will guide you through it too.

Ride safe,

It was time to renew the site name to keep it as www.silverwing600.com . I need to do this every year we lose it and it goes back to something like www.forumotion.silverwing600.com ...so that is too long to have to type in. Since this is considered to be what they call a "very active site" they give us an additional 6 months of "site name" so it is good for another 434 days.

Hi All,

Thought I would update you on my Givi AF214 installation.

I am a little disappointed with how the installation is going.

First, the windscreen did not fit well over the 6 mounting holes. I had to spread the shield slightly to align the holes.

Second, the left side of the screen extends approximatly 1/2 inch more forward than the right side. I tried for a few hours trying to align this, but nothing seems to work. See pictures.
